В Зеленодольском районе, близ острова-града Свияжска, было обнаружено средневековое поселение Мизиново. Об этом сообщила пресс-служба комитета по охране объектов культурного наследия Татарстана. Археологический памятник был найден в ходе историко-культурной экспертизы территории, предназначенной для хозяйственного освоения. Эксперты отметили, что данная область активно распахивается.
Во время исследования были найдены железная втульчатая пешня, часть листовидного наконечника стрелы, кованый железный гвоздь и фрагменты гончарной керамики. Согласно предварительной оценке, эти артефакты и сам памятник относятся к XVI–XIX столетиям. Комитет оформил юридический акт о постановке данной территории на государственную охрану.
