KIU Introduces International Summer School for Students from China

      Kazan Innovative University named after V.G. Timiryasov held the official opening ceremony for the International Summer School for students from Eastern Liaoning University, signifying a new phase in the enduring partnership between the two institutions. Kazan Innovative University and Eastern Liaoning University are already collaborating on joint educational initiatives, including dual degree programs, and actively facilitating academic exchanges. The establishment of the Summer School aims to enhance these connections and offer Chinese students a distinctive opportunity for both study and cultural exchange in Kazan. As part of the Summer School, participants will engage in a varied program aimed at enriching their professional knowledge while also exposing them to the culture and traditions of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Tatarstan. In her welcoming address, KIU Rector Asiya Timiryasova highlighted that Russia and China are not just strategic partners with robust economic ties but also friendly nations with a rich cultural legacy. She remarked that education and direct interactions among young people are essential for fostering mutual understanding between countries. She wished the participants valuable learning experiences and unforgettable moments in Kazan. Lu Wei Jia, Director of the Student Affairs Office at ELU, welcomed the participants and expressed gratitude to KIU for its warm reception. He mentioned that the two universities have already formed effective collaboration in joint educational programs and student exchanges, and that the current internship represents a significant step in expanding students' international perspectives and encouraging mutual understanding between the youth of the two nations. He stated that the participants aspire to become "ambassadors" of friendship during the Russia-China Cross-Year of Cooperation in Education and expressed confidence that the program would be fruitful and yield significant outcomes. He also expressed hope for the continued strengthening of partnership relations between the two universities. The participants are now set to embark on an intensive program that is sure to leave a lasting impact on the history of collaboration between the two institutions.
