      In Tatarstan, the possibility of organizing an analog of the "Tchaikovsky Express" retro train project, which is already successfully implemented in Udmurtia, is being considered.

      The initiative to implement the project was put forward by Eduard Ionov, head of the marketing sector of the suburban passenger company JSC "Sodruzhestvo". He is confident that such a proposal will be in demand and popular among city residents as well as tourists visiting the republic. Ionov recalled the project in Udmurtia. "We would like to extend the project to Tatarstan," he said. "I ask the republic's leadership to pay attention to this." Eduard Ionov emphasized that it would be great if Tatarstan had its own hallmark for this project. He expressed confidence that, with the regional authorities' approval for the project's implementation, there should be no difficulties related to creating the necessary infrastructure.

      Recall that earlier this year, Udmurtia's tourism minister, Yulia Badash, said that the "Tchaikovsky Express" retro train was popular in the region, confirmed by its 100% occupancy rate. The minister highlighted that the project attracted a large number of target groups, including schoolchildren, older adults, and young couples. The project was launched in Udmurtia in the fall of last year as a pilot. This year, 33 trips of the retro train are planned. Its compartments and the conductors' uniform are fully styled after the late 19th century, creating a special atmosphere. Additionally, a theatrical program featuring works by Pyotr Tchaikovsky has been prepared for guests. Previously in Tatarstan, tours on a steam-powered retro train were also organized.
