      The area around Begishevo Airport is planned for development. This includes developing the infrastructure of the air harbor itself, building housing and other facilities.

      As reported by Kamil Nazmiev, head of the executive committee of Tukayevsky district of the Republic of Tatarstan, considering the creation of an aeropolis based at Begishevo Airport within the "Municipal Hour" project. About one trillion rubles are planned to be allocated for this purpose. According to Nazmiev, the project is not only ambitious and large-scale but also long-term – it is designed for one hundred years. Regarding the details of the future aeropolis, he said that about 4.8 million square meters of housing are planned to be built on its territory, along with numerous clusters of various types—medical, commercial, exhibition, and cultural-entertainment. Additionally, within the framework of the project, authorities intend to implement new manufacturing and logistics facilities. Special attention will be paid to developing the airport infrastructure—including, by 2050, about 58.1 billion rubles are planned to be spent on this. The funds will be used to build a second runway, a new terminal, create helicopter pads, and reconstruct the hotel. Taliya Minullina, head of the Tatarstan Investment Development Agency, noted that to implement the project, it is necessary to formulate a vision considering the development of other territories, transport corridors, logistics network frameworks, economic growth, and much more. She emphasized that this is a massive amount of work within the concept, which has taken a long time to develop and has been approved by regional leadership. According to her, the project is viewed as a key growth point for the Volga Federal District.
