      About 30,000 tickets sold for the Russian Super Cup football match in Kazan

      On July 12, a match for the Super Cup will take place in the capital of Tatarstan. The winner will be determined in a game between "Krasnodar" and CSKA, which will be held at the "Ak Bars Arena" stadium.

      Vladimir Leontov, head of the Ministry of Sports of the republic, and Maxim Denisov, General Director of the ANO "Directorate of Sports and Social Projects," discussed the preparations for the upcoming event at a press conference. Leontov emphasized that Kazan is once again hosting the country’s Super Cup match for the second time. He thanked the RFU leadership for the trust and the opportunity to host the Super Cup again in Kazan "literally after just two years." In 2023, the republic’s main football arena already hosted the Super Cup match — then the trophy was won in a penalty shootout by Zenit from Saint Petersburg, defeating CSKA.

      Considering that last weekend there was a concert by Leonid Agutin at the "Ak Bars Arena," which drew several thousand guests, many were interested in the condition of the stadium’s field. Leontov assured that he personally checked the lawn before the press conference and confirmed its quality is beyond question. He noted that all supporting structures built for the concert have already been removed, and the grass was preserved thanks to a special covering.

      According to official data, about 30,000 tickets have already been sold for the match, with the stadium capacity exceeding 45,000.

      Maxim Denisov did not exclude that Kazan residents might face some inconveniences on the day of the match related to street closures. However, there is no exact information on this yet, as it will depend on the circumstances. In 2023, when 41,000 fans attended the Super Cup, organizers managed without road closures.
