      The main share of the total export volume was wheat – 15.3 thousand tons. The largest shipment of wheat, over 4 thousand tons, was dispatched on June 10 to the port of Caucasus.

      In the first six months of 2025, the Republic of Tatarstan exported more than 30,000 tons of high-quality grain abroad. The relevant data was published on the official website of the regional branch of the Federal Center for Evaluation of Safety and Quality of Agricultural Products. It was reported that each batch underwent strict control before shipment. The export volumes of wheat are especially impressive – 15.3 thousand tons, accounting for more than half of all grain supplies. A notable example was the large shipment on June 10, when over 4 thousand tons of select food wheat were sent from the Chistopolsky district to the port of Caucasus. According to the agency, specialists meticulously checked the grain for compliance with international standards, the requirements of importing countries, and the norms of the Customs Union. “A safety and quality certificate, phytosanitary quarantine conclusion for the sub-quarantine product, and a phytosanitary quarantine certificate, on the basis of which the latter was issued, are issued for the wheat batch,” said Svetlana Belova, head of the branch inspection. A feature of Tatarstan’s grain export is the use of water transportation through ports in the Krasnodar Krai. This delivery method allows effectively shipping large batches abroad. It was previously reported that the republic successfully exported 6,000 tons of wheat to Iran for the first time. It is known that, prior to this, the republic only exported barley to this country. The entire shipment was also carried out via water route: ships with wheat departed for Iran via the Volga River.
