      On the Republic Day of Tatarstan, several events were celebrated in Nurlat.

      Festive events on the occasion of Republic Day, Oil and Gas Industry Workers’ Day and City Day began with the opening of the "Neftyanik" park.

      Accompanied by the head of the Nurlat Municipal District, Damir Ishkineev, the park was attended by honorary guests: the Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan Alexander Shadrikov; Deputy General Director — Director of the PJSC Tatneft department in Kazan Damir Mukhametshin; deputy of the State Council of the Republic of Tatarstan Shamil Yagudin; assistant to the chairman of the Oil and Gas Construction Trade Union of Russia, Honorary Chairman of Tatneft’s trade union committee, and honored veteran of PJSC Tatneft Gumar Yarullin.

      Damir Ishkineev, noting that the park, fully financed by Tatneft, turned out wonderfully, congratulated those gathered on the holidays.

      "It will be a place of attraction for Nurlat residents, for young people. Everything here has been thought out, done with love. I wish you, dear townspeople, to treat this facility with care, to relax here, to engage in sports," he said.

      Alexander Shadrikov addressed the people of Nurlat with words of greeting.

      "On behalf of the Government and the Rais of Tatarstan, I congratulate you on the Day of our republic. Tatarstan is a driver of our great country. Once again the company Tatneft shows that it is socially oriented," he said, noting that Tatneft will turn 75 on September 6.

      Damir Mukhametshin, congratulating those present on Republic Day, City Day and Oil and Gas Industry Workers’ Day, noted that these are holidays shared by everyone.

      "In the year of Tatneft’s 75th anniversary it is worth remembering the veterans and saying that it is in the company’s tradition to preserve the memory of those who were at the origins of oil production. Opening the 'Neftyanik' park, I wish that not only it but the city continue to develop," he emphasized.

      Gumar Yarullin also addressed the people of Nurlat.

      "We rejoice that Nurlat is changing before our eyes. This is the result of the labor of everyone who lives and works in the district," he said, noting the special role of trade union members.

      After the ceremonial part, where employees of Tatneft’s structural subdivisions were also awarded, the honorary guests took part in the opening of the Alley of Veterans and Youth of the Tatneft group of companies and planted trees there. They visited the park’s sports zone, where various exercise machines are installed under a canopy, as well as two outdoor courts. They also inspected the children’s playground with small architectural forms and the "Dandelion" monument, which symbolizes peace and kindness. Special attention was drawn to a wooden rocking apparatus.

      "The rocker for the mechanical drive to the oil well pump has been recreated based on a model and the memories of the carpenter of the Shugurovo fortified oilfield, Guta Dautovich Mingazov. According to him, the installation was assembled in the post-war years at the instruction of the enterprise manager based on hand-drawn diagrams. Built by field workers manually from wood and improvised materials. Installation on well No. 1 (Shugurovo)," reads the plaque next to the rocker.

      After taking a commemorative photo in the park, the guests, accompanied by Damir Ishkineev, visited exhibitions of oil companies and educational institutions near the administrative building of NGDU "Nurlatneft".
