Following the inspection, the Housing Inspectorate ordered SK "Muzhik" to return the overpayment of almost 200,000 rubles. One of the residents of the apartment building filed a complaint about the management company's actions concerning the overpayment.
The management company SK "Muzhik" illegally inflated utility charges for the residents of building No. 1 on Stadionnaya Street in Kazan. The Housing Inspectorate of Tatarstan found that, in the period from March to May 2024, the amounts on the payment notices were increased by more than 100% without any justification or explanation. According to the Housing Inspectorate of Tatarstan's press service, the inspection was prompted by a complaint from one of the owners, who noticed a sharp increase in payments: the charge for cold water jumped from 10.30 rubles in February to 132.16 rubles in March, and for electricity — from 1,221 to 2,726 rubles. At the same time, representatives of the management company did not provide any explanations to the residents.
The inspection revealed systemic violations. These included billing for 2,600 cubic meters of water when the actual consumption was 1,500 cubic meters, as well as three months of nonpayment for electricity by owners of non-residential premises and parking spaces, whose debts were redistributed onto the residents. In addition, there was no documentary justification for the tariff increases.
As a result of the audit, SK "Muzhik" was ordered to return to the residents almost 200,000 rubles of unlawful charges. An administrative case has also been opened against the company, with the prospect of a large fine.
According to KazanFirst, this is not the management company's first scandal. Earlier reports said that in spring its director obstructed the inspections, and residents had complained about cracks in the building's load-bearing structures.
