      According to preliminary information, the crash occurred at 16:40 heading toward Mushtari Street. Published footage shows that as a result of the collision the Lexus sustained heavy mechanical damage on the left side and at the front. Pieces of metal were scattered several meters from the crash site.

      The motorcyclist was also injured in the accident. The impact threw him onto the sidewalk where a young woman was standing. BUSINESS Online sent a request to the State Traffic Inspectorate (GAI) of Kazan to clarify details of the incident. No response had been received at the time of publication.

      UPDATE 17:09: As the GAI press service in Kazan told our publication, the motorcyclist ran a red light, failing to yield to the Japanese car. As a result of the crash, the motorcyclist himself and a female passenger born in 2005 were injured. The ambulance crew that arrived at the scene took them to hospital. Doctors diagnosed injuries of varying severity.

      Recall that in early August the acting head of the State Traffic Inspectorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Republic of Tatarstan, Damir Bikmukhametov, reported that since the beginning of the year the republic had recorded more than 1,700 traffic accidents. In accidents in 2025, 161 people died and more than 2,100 sustained injuries of varying severity.
