The head of the "Mercy–Kazan" service held a seminar on social ministry in the Donetsk diocese.

      On September 12, a training seminar on social ministry in parishes was held in the Donetsk Diocese. The seminar was led by a specialist from the Synodal Department for Church Charity and head of the Kazan Diocese’s service for helping those in need, "Mercy — Kazan," Olga Varganova. Twenty-six clergymen and parish representatives took part in the event.

      “We spoke with the participants about organizing social work, recruiting volunteers, finding funding and other resources that help turn good initiatives into reality. Such seminars are educational in nature, and at the same time serve as support for participants. It is very important to meet in person, combine efforts, and see a living example of faith and good deeds with our own eyes. We thank everyone who gathered for their work and desire to help their neighbors,” commented Olga Varganova.

      Recall that the head of the "Mercy — Kazan" service, together with the service’s volunteers, serves at the center of church social assistance in Severodonetsk. Volunteers from Tatarstan participate in developing the patronage service and provide social and household assistance to elderly people and people with disabilities.
