Another new set of modern agrotechnology classes has opened in Tatarstan.

      Today modern agrotechnology classes opened at the Zireklinsky Lyceum in the Novosheshminsky municipal district. With the support of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan and the agroholding Chistopolye, a personnel reserve for the agro-industrial complex will be trained here. At the opening ceremony were Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan Marsel Makhmutov, CEO of Chistopolye Agroholding Nail Zalakov, head of the career guidance center at Kazan State Agrarian University Guzel Fassakhova and director of the Chistopol Agricultural Technical School named after G. I. Usmanov Anas Nurullin.

      “Agrotechnology classes are an investment in the younger generation that will tomorrow become the backbone of agriculture, introduce new solutions and strengthen the food security of the republic and the country,” noted Marsel Makhmutov.

      In 2025 the Republic of Tatarstan joined the national project “Technological Support for Food Security.” Within it the federal project “Personnel for the Agro-Industrial Complex” will be implemented, the main tasks of which are modernization, equipping facilities with equipment, construction of housing for research staff, creation of agro-classes and incentive payments to research staff. In total, 20 agrotechnology classes are planned to be created across the republic this year, where 550 people will be trained.

      According to the deputy minister, students of the Zireklinsky Lyceum in grades 8 through 11 will study profile subjects in depth in the “Genetics and Plant Breeding” direction. An investor has contributed 6.3 million rubles to create the agrotechnology classes, thanks to which schoolchildren will be able to get acquainted with modern technologies and take their first steps toward a future profession in the agro-industrial complex.

      Agroholding Chistopolye allocated funds for major repairs and fully equipped the chemistry, physics, mathematics and biology classrooms with modern equipment. Now students and teachers have at their disposal modern microscopes, interactive whiteboards with internet access and a unique microclonal laboratory for biological research.

      The agrotechnology classes’ curriculum goes far beyond the standard school program. Students will study biology, mathematics, physics and chemistry in depth and immediately apply the knowledge they gain in practice.

      To motivate teachers who will have to teach complex subjects, special incentive payments are provided. A key element of the project was the signing of a four-party cooperation agreement between the Zireklinsky Lyceum, the agrarian university, the agricultural technical school and agroholding Chistopolye.

      This creates a continuous educational chain: school – technical college/university – employer. The first participants in this program were 27 schoolchildren who have already begun classes.
