Fulfilling his duty: a veteran of the special military operation from Zainsky District voted for the future of Tatarstan.

      Artur Tereshin, who sustained a serious wound at the front, took part in the election of the President of the Republic.

      A resident of the village of Bure-Saray and a veteran of the special military operation, Artur Tereshin, despite his severe wound, came to polling station No. 1454 in the village of Stary Takmak to fulfill his civic duty and cast his vote in the election of the President of the Republic of Tatarstan. Artur Alexandrovich is a man of strong character and a true patriot. When partial mobilization was announced in the country, he did not wait for a summons and, together with his sister’s husband, went to the military enlistment office himself. “I could not stand aside in a difficult time for the country. The very next day we expressed our readiness to take up the defense of the Fatherland,” Artur recalls.

      At the front he served as a sapper-reconnaissance soldier, showing incredible courage and selflessness. His feats have been recognized with high state awards: the Suvorov Medal, the “For Demining” medal, the “Participant of the Special Military Operation” medal, and the “For Courage” breast badge.

      On August 1, 2024, while carrying out a combat mission, Artur received a severe wound — he was blown up by an anti-personnel mine. He is now undergoing rehabilitation and learning to walk again with a prosthesis. But even this did not break his spirit or prevent him from taking part in an important event for the republic.

      Artur Tereshin arrived at the polling station at 10 a.m. “I always try to cast my vote in elections. Today I cast it for the freedom and independence of our country. I chose the candidate I trust,” the veteran said. “I want to wish our guys participating in the SVO a safe return with victory.”

      His action is a vivid example of a true civic stance and love for the Motherland. Even after the toughest trials, he continues to believe in his Fatherland and to contribute to its future.
