The first participants of the BRICS Youth Festival have begun arriving in Kazan.
The BRICS Youth Festival has kicked off in Kazan, during which the first 17 delegates from China and Indonesia have arrived in the capital of Tatarstan. Over the next three days, the arrival of 150 young participants aged 14 to 17 from 35 municipalities and 13 countries is expected, including Turkey, Brazil, Iran, Egypt, Ethiopia, India, Kazakhstan, Belarus, South Africa and Uzbekistan. Delegations from Russian cities — Moscow, Krasnodar, Yekaterinburg and Donetsk — will also join. The participants will be accommodated at the Young Guard sports and wellness camp, where a packed seven-day program awaits them. Plans include robotics masterclasses, the international song contest “BRICSvision,” a national costume show, a board game festival, quests, sports activities and discos. In addition, an olympiad in mathematics and computer science will be organized for the youngsters, as well as excursions to Kazan’s sights.
