      Representatives of Tatarstan won in two categories of the "Masterok" contest, organized as part of the Privolzhsky Federal District festival "Return Childhood." In the "Construction, Design" category, the best work was recognized as "Mother Russia" (Amir Sagdiev, Darina Rokhlova, Kira Alekseeva); in the "Toy Making" category — the work "Bird of Happiness" (Violetta Solomatina), the press service of the Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of the Russian Federation in the PFD reports.

      The solemn closing of the district festival supporting and socially adapting pupils of organizations for orphans and children left without parental care, "Return Childhood," as well as the awarding of participants and the gala concert, took place in Ufa. The event was attended by the Deputy Plenipotentiary Representative of the President in the PFD Oleg Mashkovtsev, the head of Bashkortostan Radiy Khabirov, and well-known political and public figures.

      Over three days, festival participants competed in sports and creative contests, visited scientific and industrial sites, universities, colleges, museums and historical places in Ufa. During the large concert that concluded the event, the jury announced the winners.

      Addressing those gathered on behalf of the Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of Russia in the Privolzhsky Federal District Igor Komarov was his deputy Oleg Mashkovtsev. "All contestants demonstrated their skills, talents, resilience and determination in team and individual competitions. And regardless of the places won, you have gained priceless experience in self-assessment, interaction with opponents and communication with each other. I think many of you will continue to stay in touch after returning home, because the digital world erases distances," he noted.

      "Undoubtedly, we must thank the festival organizers in the person of the Government of the Republic of Bashkortostan for the warm welcome and good organization of all the events. Dear children! You are the future of our country. Participation in this festival is an important step on the path of self-determination and self-development," Mashkovtsev added.

      Those present were also greeted by the head of Bashkortostan Radiy Khabirov: "The 'Return Childhood' festival is one of the kindest and brightest. Its purpose is to give children useful experience for their future adult life. We tried to create the most comfortable conditions for the festival participants. I think the children will take only warm impressions from Ufa," he said.

      The festival winners were awarded diplomas and valuable gifts. Nominees of the "Stars of Childhood" contest were invited to the big stage. First place in the "Vocal" direction was taken by Ilya Mushkarev and Mikhail Nikitin from Penza Oblast with the song "Only for Russia!" The best in the "Dance" category were members of the "Dolphins" ensemble from Perm Krai. A diploma of the winner in the "Artistic Recitation" category was awarded to Bogdan Eroshkin from the Republic of Mordovia; in the "Original Genre" category, the fashion theater "Kapriz" and the search team "Dolg" from Kirov Oblast were recognized.

      In the "Masterok" contest in the "Decorative and Applied Arts" category, Milana and Zarina Kevkhishvili from the Udmurt Republic won. In the "Construction, Design" category, the best work was recognized as the collection "Mother Russia" by Tatarstan residents Amir Sagdiev, Darina Rokhlova and Kira Alekseeva. The winner in the "Toy Making" category was another Tatarstan resident, Violetta Solomatina, with the work "Bird of Happiness."

      For two days, young athletes of the Privolzhsky Federal District competed in strength, agility and endurance as part of the district Spartakiad for pupils of orphanages and boarding schools "Sporting Olympus of the Volga Region." First place in the mini-football competition was won by the Kirov Oblast team; in 3x3 basketball and volleyball the highest results were shown by the teams of the Republic of Bashkortostan. The best shooter among the boys was recognized as Evgeny Andreev from Samara Oblast, and among the girls the victory was won by Karina Shakirova from Bashkortostan. In table tennis competitions, the winners were representatives of Samara and Orenburg oblasts — Alina Gerasimova and Ilya Zolotykh, respectively.

      In the "Uma Palata" contest, the intellectuals of the Volga region demonstrated their erudition and answered quiz questions. The leader of the game final was the "Atom" team from the Republic of Bashkortostan.

      The winner of the "Culinary Mastery" contest was Milana Pastbina from Ulyanovsk Oblast. For the first time this year the children were making vareniki: they demonstrated to the jury a wide variety of this dish, which pleased not only the judges but also the young cooks themselves.
