      The investigation into the criminal case of a 27-year-old resident of Tatarstan has been completed. He is accused under the charge of "violent sexual acts", the republic’s Investigative Committee reports.

      "All the materials and the indictment have already been sent to the court for consideration," the agency said.

      According to the investigation, in 2017 the subject of the criminal case, while drunk, sexually abused a 6-year-old boy. The child apparently feared the perpetrator for a long time, because he only told his parents about what had happened to him last year. That was when a criminal case was opened. Despite the long time since the commission of the crime, the suspect was quickly identified and detained. The man is awaiting trial in custody, held in a pre-trial detention center (SIZO) cell.
