      As a rule, the suspects stole food, and they visited chain retail outlets for groceries and drinks. Thus, a 33-year-old man in a store on Viktor Polyakov Street was most interested in the deli display. He took several types of sausage and cheese from the shelf, and then in the next section grabbed a bottle of cognac. The purchase would have cost the Chelny resident a little over 4,000 rubles, but he decided not to spend the money and to carry the provisions out unnoticed. The plan failed: store employees called the police, who detained the customer with the goods as he was leaving the store. The 33-year-old returned the stolen items. A 26-year-old resident of the new part of the city took provisions worth more than 3,000 rubles and even managed to set the table with them. A 41-year-old man acted in the same way, causing about 4,500 rubles in damage to the grocery store. And a 43-year-old offender left the store having taken coffee and feminine hygiene products. These items were also used by the Chelny resident. Procedural actions are currently being carried out in each case, following the results of which a criminal case will be opened under the relevant article. By the way, all the suspects are unemployed and have repeatedly been prosecuted in the past, including for similar crimes.
