      Tatarstan’s Minister for Youth Affairs Azat Kadyrov met with Tagir Sadykov, a participant in the program for veterans and participants of the special military operation “Batyrlar. Heroes of Tatarstan.” As minister, Azat Kadyrov now serves as his mentor.

      Since the start of the program, Tagir Sadykov has already familiarized himself with the activities of children’s health camps in the republic’s districts, traveled to Nizhnekamsk where he took part in public hearings on the concept of a new youth center, and attended the student forum “Liga Forum.”

      Today, together with the minister, they visited the Republican Center for Sports-Patriotic and Pre-Conscription Youth Training “Patriot,” where five-day camps called “Avangard” on the basics of military service are held for 10th-grade boys. This is the seventh session this year, involving 190 teenagers from the Vysokogorsky, Arsky and Tyulyachinsky districts. Over the five days, the students undergo a course that includes the basics of drill, firearms, military-medical and tactical training, as well as the fundamentals of CBRN protection and military regulations. The camps for schoolchildren are free; accommodation, meals and uniforms are provided.

      Azat Kadyrov and Tagir Sadykov reviewed the training program and spoke with the youngsters during practical sessions. Afterwards, the new minister was shown the center’s grounds and the living conditions of the session participants.

      “I am immersing myself in the work of every area that we, as a ministry, oversee. I visit the workplaces of our subordinate organizations. Today we not only discussed plans for the patriotic education of youth with colleagues from the Republican Center ‘Patriot,’ but I also personally saw how the military-patriotic camps for teenagers are conducted. The young people participate in the classes with enthusiasm and note that they gain both military-tactical knowledge and practical skills that will be useful to a man in life,” the minister said.

      It should be noted that, in accordance with directives from the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin, the training and methodological centers for military-patriotic education “Avangard” were established in 2022. Since then, more than 8,000 young men have taken part in the five-day camps. The patriotic education of youth corresponds to the objectives of the national project “Youth and Children.”
