A resident of the village of Kirovo in the Aktanyshsky District, recipient of the Order of Lenin Dulfira Kagirova, handed over a motorcycle to participants in the special military operation. The decision was born of memory — of her husband and of the vehicle that had stood in their garage for many years.

A veteran of agriculture who devoted her life to the development of her native village could not stand aside when she learned how her fellow villagers were helping the front. The impetus came from a story she read in the district newspaper.

“When I see words about mobilization, I always read them with tears in my eyes,” Dulfira Kagirova admitted. “I learned that the husband of Aigul Malikova from the village of Tynnamasovo was killed on the battlefield. A comrade-in-arms barely carried his body back to our side. Aigul decided to send her son’s motorcycle. Aynur Kasymov repaired the machine and delivered it to the front. Then I thought: my husband also left behind a Ural motorcycle. He has been gone for ten years now, and the motorcycle just sits unused. Let it serve our boys.”

Deciding to gift the Ural, Dulfira called her fellow villagers to discuss the idea. The labor veteran’s initiative was supported unanimously. Representatives of the village council inspected the motorcycle, and Aynur Kasymov, a veteran of the fighting in the North Caucasus and a volunteer, brought the vehicle into full working order.

Helping the fighters is not Dulfira Kagirova’s first good deed. Earlier she sent money from her pension and handed over one hundred packs of tea to the front.

“The hardest part is for the mothers, wives, children and relatives,” she says. “May God grant them patience and help. I want our countries to be safe, and for the sons, having won victory, to return home as soon as possible. If the sky were clear, the world would be peaceful, without children’s sorrows.”

Earlier, in his annual address to the State Council of Tatarstan, the Rais of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov thanked volunteers for their important contribution to supporting the SVO. “People do this sincerely and from the heart, bringing together similarly concerned citizens and forming whole teams of like-minded people,” the head of the republic noted.

Later the Rais of Tatarstan spoke about support for participants in the special operation at a meeting with the President of Russia Vladimir Putin in the Moscow Kremlin. “There is a very large amount of work on humanitarian aid. We go to every town, to every municipality, we work. The population actively works on collection and so do our companies: 4,389 tons have been assembled and sent,” he remarked. The material was prepared with the participation of Leisan Gazizova.
