      At the venue of the Kazan National Half Marathon 2025, youth assistants to the head of the ATK office ran an interactive digital literacy quiz — immersing the very young in the world of digital technologies, warning adults about fraudulent schemes, and also informing teachers, parents and grandmothers about signs that a child may have entered a destructive environment and the actions that should be taken in such a case.

      But not only the families supporting and waiting for race participants took the quiz — the runners themselves also tested their knowledge of digital security both before and after the race, proving that this is indeed an important topic. The quiz could be taken solo or as part of a large group in competitive mode to see who was the most well‑versed. Serious battles for first place in the quiz and for the opportunity to prove oneself the best at protecting oneself and one’s data online broke out in the larger quizzes. Every quiz participant received commemorative prizes — bright sticker packs — as well as booklets and leaflets with useful information.

      “For us it was important to become part of the Kazan National Half Marathon, which brought together thousands of people. Integrating into such a large sporting event allowed us to convey our ideas and values to an even larger audience and to show that preventive and educational work can be organically integrated into many different formats. We are glad that the Competition and its participants were represented on such a vivid platform, and we are confident that this will become another step in developing our joint work with young people,” shared Timur Sabirzyanov, head of the Competition of Youth Assistants.

      Over the course of the day, more than 150 race participants — families, youth representatives, children and adolescents, their teachers and parents — were able to learn something new, make their online actions safer or refresh their knowledge of digital hygiene rules. The community of public assistants to the head of the ATK office in the Republic of Tatarstan believes that prevention and education in the field of human safety can be interesting and engaging. It is very important to integrate interactive activities and various initiatives dedicated to online safety and beyond into sporting events, because a healthy lifestyle includes healthy behavior on the internet and digital hygiene.

      The interactive stand was organized by the public organization “Academy of Creative Youth of the Republic of Tatarstan” with the support of the office of the Anti‑Terrorism Commission in the Republic of Tatarstan and the Ministry of Youth Affairs of the Republic of Tatarstan.
