The demand for AI skills in Tatarstan has doubled.
hh.ru analytics show an increase in vacancies and the adoption of technologies in HR.
Tatarstan is seeing a rapid rise in demand for specialists with skills in working with artificial intelligence (AI). According to data from the leading Russian online recruitment platform hh.ru, over the nine months of 2025 employers posted about 780 vacancies that specified requirements or preferences for proficiency in AI technologies. That is almost twice as many as in the same period in 2024. AI skills are in demand not only in creative professions but also in personnel management. Most often, the ability to work with neural networks is expected from artists and designers (12% of vacancies), SMM and content managers (9%), sales and customer relations managers (8%), as well as secretaries, executive assistants and assistants (about 8%). In addition, companies increasingly require AI knowledge from recruiters, HR specialists and even chief HR officers. Such vacancies are especially common in the IT sector, finance and companies involved in managing multi-profile assets.
“Automation is becoming a necessary condition for the resilience of the HR function: it helps to compensate for staff shortages and to build systematic, predictable and manageable processes — including through the use of artificial intelligence technologies,” comments Marina Khadina, director of CRM system development at Talantix.
In this regard hh.ru (HeadHunter) announced the launch of its own AI assistant for automating recruitment. This was stated by the company’s CEO Dmitry Sergienkov at the HeadConf conference in Moscow, which brought together key players in the HR and technology markets.
“Technologies are not needed to make a person more efficient, they are needed to simplify their life. And it is the person who determines how effective the assistant will be and fully controls its work at all key stages,” Sergienkov emphasized. He noted that “the main attribute of technology for people is simplicity.”
According to Sergienkov, HeadHunter’s GenAI solutions are aimed at removing routine tasks from recruiters to give them back time for interacting with people. As an example, he cited data: frontline employees spend only about 5% of their working time on tasks that bring them pleasure, while administrative work takes up about 60% of HR specialists’ time.
The AI assistant will take on routine tasks at the hiring stage. Already on hh.ru there are features for automatic generation of job description text (in less than three minutes, with more than 90% positive feedback) and AI-powered invitations, which increase responses by 40%. These tools will form the basis of the new assistant.
This trend reflects a global shift: AI does not replace people, but optimizes processes, making work more efficient and comfortable.
