In Kazan, a foreign national is accused of fraud related to university admission.

      In Tatarstan, a man is suspected of fraud and using forged documents, the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Republic of Tatarstan reported.

      The investigation established that in 2023–2024 the foreign national deceived six of his fellow countrymen. He promised to help them enroll in a Kazan university and took 240,000 rubles from them, but spent the money on personal needs.

      It was also reported that he purchased fake driver's licenses online and got a job as a taxi driver, transporting passengers.

      The offenses were discovered by Interior Ministry officers and investigators during operational activities. The man has been arrested and is awaiting trial.
