      The plant is proposed to be built in the Verkhneuslonsky district, not far from the interchange of the M7 highway and the road to Innopolis. It will handle several types of waste.

      In Kazan, a public discussion has begun on the project to build a waste incineration complex, including medical and biological waste. It is proposed to install and commission the "Nefrit-R" just 3.5 km from the IT city Innopolis.

      According to the materials of the environmental impact assessment (EIA), the facility will be located in the Verkhneuslonsky district, near the interchange of the M7 highway and the R241 road. Its capacity will be up to 1.5 tons of waste per hour. With up to 8,000 hours of operation per year, the installation will be able to process significant volumes of waste.

      "The list of incoming waste will include industrial and consumer waste, as well as medical and biological waste," the documentation says. The technology is based on a high-temperature treatment method.

      According to the BIZNES Online portal, public discussions regarding the construction of the plant are scheduled to be held electronically from October 16 to November 14.

      Recall that about a year ago the republic reported plans to build five complexes specializing in the sorting and processing of waste. Their total area was supposed to be almost four times the size of the "Samosyrovo" landfill. At that time it was announced that three complexes would be located in the Kazan agglomeration, and two more in the east of Tatarstan.

      Earlier it was reported that a new specialized unit had been established within the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Republic of Tatarstan — the Department for the Organization of the Fight against the Illegal Use of Information and Communication Technologies, abbreviated as UBK.
