      In the hands of Valentina Petrova from the village of Savaleevo, aluminum nails and a piece of rubber turn into blanks for massage brushes. Despite a visual disability, the woman has been doing home-based work for the Elabuga plant "UkuprPlast" for one and a half years, demonstrating remarkable diligence and resilience. Her workday is spent at a mini-machine where she assembles up to 50 items a day, carefully checking each one for defects.

The woman makes massage brushes for the Elabuga plant UkuprPlast. She has a childhood disability; one eye is completely blind. But despite her vision problems, Valentina Ilyinichna does not lose heart and tries to live like everyone else. A small table, a comfortable chair and the parts of future massage brushes. Valentina Petrova’s workday begins at this mini-machine inside her home. Visually impaired since childhood, she has been assembling massage brushes for one and a half years.

      During the day Valentina Petrova assembles about 50 massage brushes. She says it all depends on the plan. In spring, for example, they had to make 1,200 such brushes in a month. The main helpers and support for Valentina Petrova are her parents. They help her pack the products, which must be handed in every two weeks in exchange for new blanks. After finishing her tasks, the woman sometimes still has energy for creative pursuits. Valentina Petrova’s motto is to live by overcoming all fears and difficulties and to seize every new opportunity.
