A shortlist of the goals and objectives of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Tatarstan for 2026 has been selected.

      A meeting of the Public Council under the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Tatarstan on the public formation of the goals and objectives of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Tatarstan for 2026 was held at the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Tatarstan.

      The meeting was attended by the Deputy Head of the Public Projects Department of the Department for Internal Policy of the Republic of Tatarstan, Bulat Shireev; First Deputy Minister of Culture of the Republic of Tatarstan Yulia Adgamova; members of the Public Council under the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Tatarstan; experts participating in the public formation of the goals and objectives of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Tatarstan for 2026 and in public oversight of their implementation; media representatives; and interested citizens.

      The meeting was chaired by the Chairman of the Public Council under the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Tatarstan Niyaz Iglamov and by the Deputy Chairman of the Public Council under the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Tatarstan Albina Absaljamova.

      “Today we must determine the list of public goals and objectives of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Tatarstan for 2026. This project involves, with the participation of the Public Council under the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Tatarstan, the expert community and the public, defining the most important directions and performance indicators of the ministry’s work for the coming year, followed by a public report on the results achieved,” said First Deputy Minister of Culture of the Republic of Tatarstan Yulia Adgamova.

      Meeting participants discussed the goals and objectives for 2026 proposed by the experts.

      Of the 28 goals and objectives proposed by the experts, 20 were selected to be put to a public vote.

      The online vote will be held during November on the “Residents’ Surveys” service of the Public Services Portal of the Republic of Tatarstan. Residents will be able to vote for the goals and objectives they consider the highest priority from the presented list, and also to suggest their own options.

      After the poll ends, at the next meeting of the Public Council between 5 and 7 priorities for the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Tatarstan’s work for the next year will be determined. Half of the proposals that received a majority of votes in the vote will be submitted for consideration, and after discussion the final list of goals and objectives of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Tatarstan for 2026 will be approved.

      Residents of the republic will have the opportunity to monitor progress toward the set goals and objectives. Mandatory public reporting by authorities on their implementation and on the final achievement of the approved indicators is provided (quarterly reports, public and expert discussion).

      The project is aimed at identifying the most important directions and indicators of government bodies’ work for the next year, taking into account program documents and involving the broad public, the expert community and the population.

      This year the project to publicly form the goals and objectives of republican executive bodies and to exercise public oversight of their implementation continues. Six ministries are participating: the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Tatarstan, the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Tatarstan, the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Tatarstan, the Ministry for Youth Affairs of the Republic of Tatarstan, the Ministry of Sports of the Republic of Tatarstan and the Ministry of Labour, Employment and Social Protection of the Republic of Tatarstan.

      In the online votes to choose priorities for 2025, 27,000 people took part.
