Young performers from the school theaters "Balaganchik" and "Svetlyachok" of Laishev School No. 2 named after Hero of the Soviet Union B. K. Kuznetsov, under the direction of Natalia Sukhanova, performed for the veterans from the Lesnaya Usadba boarding house.
The hostess of the boarding house, Svetlana Artyukhina, and the audience greeted the performers warmly. In the year of the 80th anniversary of Victory and the 5th anniversary of the Veterans' Home, the program featured patriotic poems and songs from the war years. The children performed the Russian folk tale "Who Will Speak First?" in a lively and engaging manner. The final chord of the program was the Russian folk song "Zatopila mlada pech" ("The Young Woman Fired Up the Oven") performed by the folk ensemble Veretenetse from the Russian Society of the Laishevsky District.
