      A court suspended the operation of the Pyaterochka store in Kazan for 20 days after serious violations of sanitary regulations were discovered. This was reported by the press service of Rospotrebnadzor’s office for the Republic of Tatarstan.

      Rospotrebnadzor began inspecting the store after Kazan residents complained about the presence of rodents. An inspection carried out jointly with the Prosecutor’s Office of Tatarstan revealed serious violations: fresh droppings of gray rats, damaged bait and rodent burrows were found in the storage rooms.

      The adjacent area was also found to be littered with food and household waste, and the garbage containers were overflowing. The agency noted that measures to protect the facility from rodents had not been observed, which posed a danger to the health and lives of visitors. The store premises were sealed and the inspection materials were sent to court.
