A criminal case has been opened in Zelenodolsk against a local resident suspected of defrauding an orphan’s apartment. According to the city prosecutor’s office, the man, previously repeatedly convicted, tricked the victim into executing a purchase and sale agreement for housing received from a specialized housing fund.
The fraudster promised to send the orphan to live permanently in Turkey and to donate the proceeds to charity. As a result, the victim was left without housing. The court has imposed an arrest on the unlawfully alienated apartment. The suspect faces up to 10 years in prison under the article on fraud on a particularly large scale, reports the Zelenodolsk City Prosecutor’s Office.
