      In Kazan, an automatic system for recording parking violations under "No Stopping" signs has been launched. Special patrol cars with cameras are already operating on three routes covering 119 sections of the city. During the testing period, more than 10 thousand materials were sent to the Center for Automated Recording of Administrative Offenses of the State Traffic Inspectorate (GIBDD).

      The new system allows automatic transmission of photographs of improperly parked cars for subsequent issuance of fines of 1,500 rubles.

      The Kazan city administration explained that automatic control is aimed at increasing road safety and improving the throughput of the streets. The geographic scope of control is planned to be expanded in the near future.
