      In Tatarstan, an engineer at one of the companies is accused of violating safety rules that led to a person’s death. This was reported by Andrey Sheptitsky, senior assistant to the head of the Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for the Republic of Tatarstan.

      The investigation found that on May 25, 2025, in the village of Bolshie Bolgoyary the engineer allowed a worker to lay a water pipe in a dangerous trench. The trench walls had not been reinforced, although the soil was unstable and there were cracks in it.

      As a result of a soil collapse, the worker was buried under earth. He died at the scene from his injuries.

      The prosecutor’s office approved the indictment; the criminal case has been forwarded to court.
