      Applications for the republican “ECOleader” contest, organized by the Ministry of Ecology of the Republic of Tatarstan in support of the national project “Environmental Well‑being,” are being accepted until November 15.

      Enterprises, educational institutions, public organizations and journalists who care about environmental issues and have an implemented project or ideas for nature protection can become ECOleaders. Winners will be selected and will come on stage for the awards ceremony at the “Piramida” Cultural and Recreational Complex on December 25.

      Contest categories:

      For organizations and individual entrepreneurs: protection of water resources, protection of atmospheric air, efficient waste management, best project in environmental safety.

      For local self-government bodies: achievements in environmental protection within municipal districts and rural settlements.

      For environmental education: best project in preschool, general education, higher and continuing education institutions.

      For teachers: systematic ecological and educational outreach work in kindergartens, schools, higher education institutions and organizations of additional education.

      For media and bloggers: best TV report, radio report, electronic media material, printed publication, and the title of best eco‑blogger or videographer.

      For the public: two special categories for public associations and citizens.

      In addition, the best state inspector of the Republic of Tatarstan will be recognized.
