      Olympic figure skating champion Alexei Yagudin shared his opinion regarding the imminent return of Kamila Valieva to professional sport.

      Recall that the skater was suspended by the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) for a positive doping test for four years at the end of January 2024. The end of the disqualification period should come on October 25, 2025.

      “Whether Kamila can return to the same heights — I have no idea. But I would like that, many would. And how all of this affected her — that question should be asked of the primary source, specifically Kamila.

      Yagudin also assessed Valieva’s potential chances in women’s singles figure skating in Russia. He mentioned that competition among opponents is not very strong nowadays and expressed confidence in her advantage over the others.

      Recall that the third stage of the Figure Skating Grand Prix, which took place in Kazan, concluded yesterday; among the women, native of Tatarstan Dina Khusnutdinova took first place (218.01 points), second was Darya Sadkova (207.12) and third was Anna Frolova (202.09). At this tournament Alexei Yagudin served as a commentator.
