As of the end of October, KAMAZ holds about 30% of the Russian heavy truck market.

      KAMAZ continues to hold the lead in the market for heavy trucks over 16 tons. According to the analytical agency Avtostat, 11.2 thousand vehicles of the brand were registered over 10 months, and the company's market share was about 30%.

      Although truck sales from Naberezhnye Chelny fell by 20%, this decline was much smaller than the average in the heavy truck segment, where the drop was 57%. In total, 37.9 thousand heavy-duty trucks were sold in Russia from January to October this year.

      Chinese brands suffered the most: Sitrak lost 65% of sales, Shacman – 71%, FAW – 66%. All three manufacturers significantly reduced their share of the Russian market. The Belarusian MAZ, on the contrary, despite reducing sales volume by 37%, managed to strengthen its position and took about 7.2% of the market.

      By vehicle type, the most significant drop occurred in the most popular segment – tractor units (down 71%). Nevertheless, they still account for a third of the market (33.8%). Sales of dump trucks fell by almost two-thirds, their share amounted to 19.4%. Vans and flatbed trucks lost about 30% in sales but slightly increased their market presence – to 9.3% and 8.9% respectively. Special-purpose vehicles proved relatively resilient, their share rose to 28.6%, as this segment fell by only 25%.
