Tonight in Kazan, in connection with the threat of ice formation, all four municipal improvement enterprises have been prepared to treat the roads: MUP "Gorvodzelenkhoz", MUP "City Improvement", MUP "City Bridges", MUP "Road Repair and Maintenance Department of the Kirov District." In total, 47 combined road machines will be on duty.
The MUPs are conducting constant monitoring of the situation. At the first signs of ice formation, the equipment will go out onto the streets and begin treating them with anti-icing material, reports the Kazan Committee of External Improvement.
Last night the enterprises were also on duty to monitor the situation. Fourteen vehicles carried out preventive treatment, salting areas that require special attention in case of icing: bridges, overpasses, interchanges.
Recall, according to meteorologists' forecasts, precipitation in the form of wet snow and freezing rain is expected overnight. As a result, ice may form in some parts of the city at night. Air temperature will be -4…-6°C, rising to -1…+1°C by morning.
