"It is our duty to preserve the memory of the heroes" — the 47th meeting with participants in the special military operation was held in Zainsk.
By good tradition, Zainsk held another, the 47th, meeting with servicemen who had returned to their homeland for a short leave.
The event, traditionally hosted by the head of Zainsk District, Razif Karimov, took place on November 12 at the Center for Psychological and Pedagogical Assistance “Bez bergé – We Are Together.” The ceremonial part opened with performances by young artists. Gleb Makarov, soloist of the Rostok ensemble, performed the patriotic piece “Proud Russia,” and Milana Afanasyeva sang the song “Vast Country” with deep feeling. The moment of presenting a gift was especially warm. District head Razif Karimov presented a gift certificate for 100,000 rubles to the wife of a serviceman participating in the special military operation, Adelina Zufarovna Paidarkina, on the occasion of the birth of their child.
“We named our son Demid. He was born on October 31, weighing 4 kg 40 grams and measuring 54 cm. I told my husband; he was very happy. We’ve been together for seven years. I’m really looking forward to seeing him — so far he’s only been seen in photos,” says the happy mother.
The mothers of the heroes were not overlooked either. A mother was honored for raising a son — a commander who carries the high title of Defender of Russia with honor and dignity.
However, the meeting began with a minute of silence and words of mourning. Razif Karimov reminded those gathered of the price that must be paid for the country’s security. “More than 600 of our young men are currently on the front line. They are paying their debt to defend our future,” the head said. “Yesterday we laid Sergey Ivanovich Petrushenko to rest. He was one of the first to volunteer to help servicemen. The first person in Zainsk District to openly declare that Victory would be ours was the mobilized Mikhail Muzychenko. Today is the birthday of our former military commissar Ayrat Foatovich Aglyamzyanov… God has allotted each of our boys his own fate, but they are all heroes of their time. Our duty is to keep their memory. We have already laid 199 young men to rest.”
Paying tribute to the fallen, Razif Karimov emphasized that Zainsk’s strength lies in the unity and active support of its residents. He thanked activists whose work has become a true home front: Elena Khisamutdinova, Valentina Atlasova, Natalia Berezina, Marat Kiyamov and many others.
“I can proudly call Zainsk District and its residents true patriots. How they have come together! What they have already achieved!” the head noted. “Every day about 800 women weave camouflage nets at 30 sites around the city. More than 10,000 large kits have already been sent to the front. Zainsk District leads the republic in this effort. The women put protective talismans into these nets. May this work bring victory closer.”
Equally important is the assistance to military hospitals coordinated by Natalia Berezina, and the targeted support for servicemen at the frontline.
“Our residents, to whom we owe a deep bow, are united into one single core,” Razif Karimov summed up. “I have no doubt that Zainsk today is one of the most organized municipalities in this work. No issue goes unnoticed. And we will continue this work.”
The event once again showed that Zainsk residents, both at the front and on the home front, shoulder to shoulder, are bringing the common victory closer.
