More than 2,000 guests, national flavor and treats: RT will host the "Russian Student Spring"
Finalists of the "Russian Student Spring" will receive recognition, valuable prizes and awards
"Tatarstan has been entrusted to hold the final for the fourth time"
The Tatarstan team will perform at the XXXIII All-Russian festival "Russian Student Spring" in November in Kazan. Students from five of the republic's universities will present competition numbers in all directions, said the Minister for Youth Affairs of the Republic of Tatarstan, Azat Kadyrov. "Student Spring" in Kazan starts in November, already next week. It may seem a bit unusual — why is "spring" taking place in November? Firstly, we always have spring, and even more so among students. Secondly, there were a number of specific organizational issues and a tight schedule of events, he said.
Kazan will host the final of the "All-Russian Student Spring" for the fourth time. "The festival travels around the country. We have been entrusted to hold the final for the fourth time, which speaks to the high level of trust from our federal colleagues — the Russian Youth Union, Rosmolodezh," Kadyrov emphasized.
The All-Russian festival "Russian Student Spring" will take place in Kazan from November 25 to 29 and will be dedicated to the Year of the Defender of the Fatherland in the Republic of Tatarstan and the 80th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War.
Kadyrov also noted that the Tatarstan team wins prizes at the festival every year. Last year the republic took second place in the overall standings and third place in the "Regional Program" direction. In 2023 the team became winners of the overall standings.
Teams from the LPR, DPR and Zaporizhzhia region will perform in Kazan
The large-scale student creative festival "Russian Student Spring" has been held in our country since 1993, said the head of the program for the support and development of youth creativity "Student Spring" of the Russian Youth Union, Valeriya Pozikova. "Tatarstan will host the festival for the fourth time. Previously it was in 2001, 2009 and 2016. Tatarstan has hosted not only national finals but also a large number of special projects and programs," she said.
Valeriya Pozikova thanked the Government of Tatarstan and the Ministry of Youth Affairs of the RT for supporting student creative initiatives. "Tatarstan always stands out brightly at all-Russian festivals, always a leader in team standings and regional programs. Of course, students from all over Russia are eagerly awaiting this festival, because it will be interesting to see how it will be held in the homeland of such a creative delegation, in such a creative region," Pozikova said.
This year there were 85 regional qualifying stages and hundreds of university qualifying stages to identify the best of the best. "Our historical territories will take part in the festival. The DPR and LPR have participated annually since 2018. Also this year we expect the Zaporizhzhia region," Pozikova noted.
The opening and closing ceremonies of the "Russian Student Spring" will be held at the "Basket-Hall"
The grand opening of the XXXIII All-Russian festival "Russian Student Spring" will take place in Kazan on November 25, and the closing on November 28. "The grand opening and closing of the festival will take place at the 'Basket-Hall' venue," said Azat Kadyrov.
On November 26 and 27 the regional program will be held, and on November 28 — the awards ceremony, the participants' gala concert and the solemn closing. More than 900 applications were submitted for the "Russian Student Spring" festival across ten competition directions. The most popular among them are vocal, dance, theatrical, media, video and art, said Valeriya Pozikova.
"The participants do not arrive with finished numbers. They will create and defend their works at the festival. Soon we will announce the topics of the competition works for the participants. These are humorous clips, documentaries, video reports, photo reports, publications," she noted.
For the first time this year, special nominations "Frontline Song" and "Frontline Prose and Poetry" are open for participants. Festival audiences will see 25 concert programs.
Seven venues will be used to hold the festival in Kazan: the Railway Workers' Palace of Culture and the Chemists' Palace of Culture, where the regional program will take place; KGEU (theatrical direction); the Sozvezdie-Yoldyzlyk art residence (original genre, instrumental direction); Extreme Park "URAM" (fashion, DJing); Kazan State Institute of Culture (vocal direction); Volga Region State University of Physical Culture, Sports and Tourism (dance direction, media, video, art). Participants will perform in more than 50 nominations. An expert jury of about 60 people will work at the festival.
"Guests will taste national treats and feel the color of Tatarstan"
Participants of the "Russian Student Spring" from other regions will be accommodated in nine lodging points in Kazan, including children's health camps, the Glubokoye Lake recreation center and the Universiade Village. "We will feed guests deliciously, offering Tatar national cuisine. Meals will be accompanied by a beautiful cultural program. This will allow guests not only to taste national treats but also to feel the color of Tatarstan," said Azat Kadyrov.
Participants will arrive in Kazan by car, train and air transport. However, about a quarter of guests will arrive by buses. "Of course, public and medical safety issues have been worked out," Kadyrov clarified.
At the competition venues where participants will perform numbers of increased complexity, as well as at the opening and closing ceremonies, ambulance teams will be on duty. The event will be streamed online on social networks.
Finalists may be awarded cash prizes
Winners of the XXXIII All-Russian festival "Russian Student Spring" will be rewarded with rapturous applause, the love of the audience, prizes from partners and possibly cash awards. "The issue of cash awards is currently being worked out," said Valeriya Pozikova.
She added that in many regions of the country there is a practice where finalists of the competition meet with governors, heads of subjects, ministry representatives and receive named awards. About 300 individual performers and creative teams will become winners and prize-winners of the festival. The names of the laureates will be announced at two awards ceremonies.
"We will learn the Grand Prix winner, the leaders of the regional program, the holder of the special prize 'Breakthrough of the Year', as well as the winner in the overall team standings at the closing ceremony on November 28," Pozikova emphasized.
A team of volunteers has been assembled to work at the event, for whom free travel around the city will be organized. More than 700 applications were received, and a group of 250 volunteers has been formed, said director of the Youth Center of the RT, Valentin Shikhobalov. "Volunteers will be involved at all festival venues. They have undergone special training," he clarified.
An extensive cultural and entertainment program has been prepared for festival guests. They will be able to visit the Kazan Kremlin, the National Library, the Bashir Rameev IT Park, Extreme Park "Uram". In addition, everyone can take part in a free master class in the Tatar language.
