Tatarstan's representative Anastasia Grafinya is taking part in the international environmental contest Miss Environment International 2025 in the Philippines. The competition, which emphasizes environmental awareness and sustainable development, features contestants from more than 40 countries around the world.
According to the republic's Ministry of Ecology press service, Anastasia presented the region's achievements in environmental protection at the contest, including programs for the restoration of water bodies, the development of specially protected natural areas and the implementation of modern waste processing technologies.
Particular attention was paid to the "Wild Farm" project — an eco-park engaged in restoring populations of sika deer and Altai marals in the forests of Tatarstan. Over 11 years of the project's implementation, more than 80 animals have been released into the wild, and the eco-park currently houses over 300 individuals. The contest evaluates contestants' knowledge in ecology, oratory skills and the significance of the environmental initiatives presented.
