      The first Counter-Strike 2 tournament among veterans of the special military operation concluded in Kazan. Thirty veterans from nine municipal districts of Tatarstan took part in the competition, demonstrating their tactical skill and teamwork in a virtual environment.

      The tournament, organized by the branch of the State Fund "Defenders of the Fatherland" for the Republic of Tatarstan and the Artcore Esports computer club, brought together six teams of five people each. The team names were "Two Gun", "Zelik", "Veteran16.rf", "Retro Squad", "Shturm" and "Voin RT".

      The main goal of the event was to help veterans adapt to peaceful life by returning them to favorite activities such as e-sports. Many participants, including Retro Squad captain Alexander Vysotsky, had not played Counter-Strike for more than ten years but were glad to immerse themselves in the game again.

      Under the leadership of Alexander Vysotsky, Retro Squad took victory, proving their strength and strategic skill. According to Natalia Zinnurova, social coordinator of the Zainsk branch of the Defenders of the Fatherland Fund, such events help veterans find new meaning and maintain connections with their former comrades while returning to civilian life. The winners and prizewinners of the tournament were awarded valuable gifts and received recognition for their efforts in this exciting and beneficial sporting discipline.
