According to the Main Directorate of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations for the Republic of Tatarstan, the fire broke out in one of the apartments on the fourth floor: furniture and the inter-floor vestibule door caught fire. The total area of the fire amounted to 16 square meters. A 38-year-old man was rescued from the burning apartment. He suffered poisoning from combustion products and was referred for outpatient treatment. Firefighters evacuated 15 people, including two children; none of them were injured. According to preliminary data, the cause of the fire was arson. Investigators from the State Fire Supervision recorded two separate ignition points.
