The Prosecutor's Office in the Republic of Tatarstan suspects a company responsible for public landscaping of illegal mineral extraction (video).

      The Muslyumovsky District Prosecutor’s Office in Tatarstan uncovered illegal extraction of mineral resources covering an area of 816 sq. m. on the territory of a local rural settlement, the press service reported. The company “Landscaping and Greening,” where the extracted resources were being stored, was accused of violating environmental protection legislation.

      After the inspection, the supervisory authority initiated an administrative case against the company’s director for the unauthorized removal of the fertile topsoil (part 1 of Article 8.6 of the Code of Administrative Offences of the Russian Federation). The prosecutor’s response act is under consideration.

      According to the Kontur.Fokus service, a firm with that name in the Muslyumovsky District belongs to the district executive committee and is located in the village of Muslyumovo. The director is listed as Marat Shaimukhametov, who headed the district rural settlement executive committee.

      The company’s revenue for last year amounted to 26.4 million rubles. The firm finished 2024 with a net loss of 9.9 million. According to the service, about 55 people are employed by the company. Previously the organization existed as the municipal unitary enterprise (MUP) “Landscaping and Greening”; it has now become an LLC. As a MUP the company was a defendant in court four times. In two cases the claim was fully satisfied, and in another — partially.
