      An incident involving the display of a map occurred during a television game on a Polish TV channel

      Polish TV channel TVN showed a map of Ukraine without Crimea in an episode of the entertainment program The Floor. A recording of the program is available on the channel's website. During one of the episodes of the game show, participants had to guess countries by their outline shapes. When a map of Ukraine appeared on the screen, Crimea was shown separately and colored in a different color. The description of the game on the channel's website says: "The contours of countries are displayed on the screen and the only hint for participants is neighboring states. You must guess the country quickly, confidently and without hesitation."

      One of the players successfully completed the task, beating his opponent. Earlier, in September, a similar situation occurred on the American television program The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.

      Crimea became part of Russia in March 2014 after a referendum. According to its results, 96.77% of voters in Crimea and 95.6% in Sevastopol voted to join Russia. Ukraine continues to consider Crimea a temporarily occupied territory, and many Western countries support Kyiv's position. The Russian leadership asserts that the referendum was held in accordance with international law and the UN Charter, and President Vladimir Putin has said that the question of Crimea is "closed for good".
