      In Naberezhnye Chelny the prosecutor’s office approved the indictment in a criminal case against a 56-year-old KAMAZ driver, whose fault led to the death of a pedestrian. According to the investigation, on June 12, 2025, on Magistralnaya Street the man was distracted from the road and did not notice a woman crossing the roadway near a public transport stop.

      The driver applied the brakes too late, so the collision could not be avoided. The pedestrian died at the scene from her injuries. The man admitted his guilt in violating traffic rules that resulted in a person’s death. The criminal case has been sent to the Naberezhnye Chelny City Court.
