      The minister said that this year in the Republic of Tatarstan reforestation works were carried out on forest fund lands over an area of 2,800 ha, including within the framework of the regional project "Preservation of Forests in the Republic of Tatarstan" of the national project "Environmental Well‑being" — on an area of 1,600 ha.

      Protective forest plantations were also established in the Republic of Tatarstan on lands of other categories over an area of 2,002 ha, and "compensatory" reforestation and afforestation were carried out on an area of 532 ha. Thus, the total area of reforestation work completed in the region amounted to 5,334 ha.

      "The fire‑hazard season in the forests of the Republic of Tatarstan was opened on March 31 and closed on October 14, lasting 197 days," Ravil Kuzyurov said. "During this period 634 hot spots and 421 incidents of ignitions were recorded on territories adjacent to forest fund lands, covering a total area of 10.4 ha. No forest fires were recorded."

      Within the framework of the implementation of federal state forest control (supervision) and forest protection, more than 32.2 thousand patrols in forests have been conducted since the beginning of 2025, 112 protocols of administrative offenses have been drawn up, and administrative fines totaling 970 thousand rubles have been imposed. The most frequent violations were breaches of rules for the use of forests and sanitary safety rules in forests.

      The Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan also pays special attention to improving the sanitary and forest‑pathological condition of forest stands. As part of this activity in 2025 in the Republic of Tatarstan, forest‑pathology surveys were carried out over an area of 3.3 thousand ha (3,300 ha), sanitary and restorative measures — over an area of 1.1 thousand ha (1,100 ha), including the removal of unmerchantable timber on 815 ha.

      Another important task was the renewal of the fleet of machinery and equipment of institutions subordinate to the Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan. Under the state program "Development of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan," 6 log trucks based on KAMAZ chassis, 1 GAZ‑S41R13 cargo truck and 11 wood‑splitting lines were purchased and handed over to the institutions.

      In addition, subordinate institutions received 31 domestically produced Geoscan 801 unmanned aerial vehicles under the national project "Unmanned Aviation Systems."

      "From December 15 to 31, 2025, an interagency operational‑preventive event 'Spruce' will be held in the Republic of Tatarstan," Ravil Kuzyurov added. "Within its framework enhanced patrolling of forest areas will be organized in order to prevent cases of illegal cutting of coniferous stands."

      He reminded that illegal felling or damage to forest stands entails the imposition of an administrative fine on citizens in the amount of 3 to 4 thousand rubles, on officials — from 20 to 40 thousand rubles, and on legal entities — from 200 to 300 thousand rubles. In addition, a person who has committed illegal felling must compensate for the damage caused to the forests, which depends on the species of the felled tree, its place of growth and the category of forest protection. In the event that damage amounts to 5 thousand rubles or more, criminal liability is provided for under Article 260 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.
