A lecture on the Golden Horde period of Tatarstan’s history and its influence on the development of our region aroused great interest among the tour guides.
Tour guides of Tatarstan upgraded their qualifications at the annual seminar. The program included two days of lectures, as well as trips to districts of the Republic of Tatarstan to get acquainted with their tourist potential. The event was organized by the State Committee of the Republic of Tatarstan for Tourism with the support of the Association “Guild of Tour Guides of the Republic of Tatarstan.”
Recall that in Russia the communication campaign “How Many Winters, How Many Winters!” is being implemented in support of winter travel around the country. More than 600 ideas for trips in the winter season have been collected on the national tourist portal Puteshestvuem.rf, which is being developed with the support of the national project “Tourism and Hospitality.” In Tatarstan there are tourist sites in every district that are waiting for guests during the New Year holidays. These were precisely what were presented to the seminar participants. For example, the tour guides learned about the unique ecosystem of the Blue Lakes, as well as about the territorial development strategy of the city of Kazan.
A lecture on the Golden Horde period of Tatarstan’s history and its influence on the development of our region aroused great interest among the tour guides. During the lecture the topic “The city of Bolgar — the first capital of the Ulus of Jochi” was covered. The lecture portion of the seminar concluded with presentations on the history and current state of agriculture in the Republic of Tatarstan.
The final day of the seminar was held in the format of field trips to municipal districts of Tatarstan. In the Zelenodolsk district the tour guides visited the Museum of Historical and Cultural Heritage of the city of Zelenodolsk, the Konstantin Vasiliev Memorial Museum and other sites; in the Laishevsky district colleagues were shown the Semruk film settlement, the G. R. Derzhavin Museum of the Laishevsky Region and the new mosque; in the Mamadysh district — the all-season resort “Vyatka,” the Cathedral of the Life-Giving Trinity, the Mamadysh Local History Museum and other interesting sites.
