As part of the nationwide "Tree of Wishes" campaign, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Tatarstan organized a special day full of unforgettable experiences for Bogdan (15), Timur (13) and Polina (9).

      The State Traffic Inspectorate of Tatarstan also actively took part in the event and showed the children the key aspects of its work.

      The climax of the celebration was the ceremonial presentation of gifts, which were personally handed over by the Minister of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Tatarstan. Warm words of encouragement and long-awaited surprises caused genuine joy and delight among the children — happy smiles shone on their faces.

      After the ceremony, an educational tour of the Ministry of Internal Affairs’ units was organized for the young guests. With great interest the children got acquainted with the work of law enforcement from the inside: they visited service premises, learned about the tasks of various units, and actively asked questions to serving officers.

      The children were able to see firsthand how the everyday work of the police is organized, to become familiar with modern equipment and technology used in the service, and to receive detailed answers to all their questions about the law enforcement profession.

      The children rode in a patrol car, where they studied the layout of the service vehicle in detail and observed the operation of the sirens. Then they were treated to an educational tour of the “GAI–GIBDD” Museum of Service History: there the children saw rare exhibits and learned about the stages of development of the road inspection.

      The program concluded with an inspection of the garage complex with modern service equipment — the young guests carefully examined the State Traffic Inspectorate’s fleet and found out what the various special devices are used for.

      The day turned out to be full, informative and truly magical. The children took away not only gifts, but also a wealth of vivid impressions, new knowledge and warm memories.

      The campaign once again proved that the joint efforts of agencies are capable of working miracles and fulfilling children's dreams.
