Her legs gave out, she fell and spent the night in the bathroom: the story of the rescue of a Nizhnekamsk woman

In Nizhnekamsk, an 88-year-old resident of a building on 50 Years of October Street found herself trapped in her own bathroom after her legs suddenly gave out. She lost consciousness and spent the entire night on the cold floor.

When she came to, the elderly woman—unable to get up—began banging on the sides of the bathtub and calling for help with all her might. Neighbors heard the cries and immediately dialed 112.

Fire and rescue unit No. 62 promptly responded to the call. The apartment was on the second floor. Rescuers quickly set up a three-section ladder at the balcony and, importantly, managed to carefully open the window without breaking it and without damaging the property.

Once inside, the firefighters provided first aid to the victim, comforted her, and handed her over to an ambulance crew for further hospitalization and examination.
