      In Kazan, a 50-year-old woman fell victim to fraudsters while booking a trip through a ride-sharing service. According to the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Republic of Tatarstan, the victim found an advertisement for a trip from Kazan to Moscow and contacted the driver via a messenger. The driver sent a payment link, after which the woman entered her bank card details. 3,800 rubles were debited from her account. The fraudster then said the payment had not gone through and suggested she follow a new link to have the funds returned. After that, more money was debited from the woman's card; in total she lost more than 7,000 rubles. A criminal case has been opened on the fraud.
