       According to data from Tatarstanstat, the overall tourist flow indicator for the republic increased by 34% compared to the same period last year.

       The Republic of Tatarstan has set a new record for tourist attractiveness – in just the first five months of 2025, the region was visited by more than 1.7 million guests, reports "Real Time". According to Tatarstanstat data, this figure is 34% higher than in the same period last year. The main attractions of the republic are experiencing a real tourist boom. The Kazan Kremlin welcomed over 2.1 million visitors in six months, while the picturesque island-town of Sviyazhsk hosted 733 thousand guests. The total attendance at tourist centers increased by an impressive 3.5 million people, according to the publication. It is noted that it was previously reported that in the first half of the year, the capital of the republic, Kazan, was visited by more than 2.3 million people. At the same time, the publication reports that the hotel occupancy rate before the May holidays in Kazan this year was 85% of the total number of hotel rooms in the city. Earlier, the hotel and apartment booking service TVIL.RU named Kazan as the leader in the ranking of the most popular destinations for those who enjoy resting by the rivers or lakes. According to the service, the average cost of accommodation in a hotel in Kazan is 5,500 rubles per night. Tourists prefer to stay in the capital of Tatarstan for an average of 4 nights. In second place in the ranking is Krasnodar (3,700 rubles per night) with a stay duration of 2 nights. Third on the list is Volgograd, where the accommodation cost is 4,500 rubles per night, and tourists stay for an average of 3 nights.
