During an inspection, violations of sanitary norms were identified in the cafe, problems with technological processes, lack of necessary conditions for food preparation, and a shortage of equipment.

Guests of the Kazan cafe "Brown Bear," located on Pushkin Street, were diagnosed with E. coli. This prompted an unscheduled inspection by the Rospotrebnadzor Office for Tatarstan. The agency found gross violations of sanitary norms, which led to food poisoning among the guests. The inspection revealed that the establishment lacked conditions for safe food preparation. There was insufficient technological equipment and necessary production areas. Serious complaints also concerned everyday processes: the cafe did not comply with the proper proximity of products, cutting utensils were not labeled, and the interior finishing of the premises was damaged.

The violations found were confirmed by laboratory analyses. The results of the study of samples taken from the establishment, as well as swabs from the chef's hands, showed the presence of E. coli bacteria. This fact, as clarified by the agency, is direct evidence of violations of personal hygiene norms by employees, conditions for food storage, as well as the technology for food preparation.

The cafe owner was issued protocols for administrative violations. The establishment's activities were suspended for 14 days, and its premises were sealed. All case materials were transferred to the court for further proceedings. Two affected visitors were diagnosed with food poisoning of unspecified etiology.

It was previously reported that following the inspection by Rospotrebnadzor, a decision was made to suspend the activities of the cafe "Chalbar" in Kazan for 30 days. A complaint about the establishment was filed by one of the visitors, who was diagnosed with an intestinal infection.
