In Tatarstan, a new form of support for families with children is actively developing. In December 2025, two special institutions — Family Multifunctional Centers — were opened in the republic. One started operating in Almetyevsk, and the other in the Aviastroitelny district of Kazan. In a short period of their activity, they have already provided assistance and consultations to eighty-five families. As explained by the Ministry of Labor, Employment, and Social Protection of Tatarstan, the main task of such centers is to provide comprehensive assistance to parents and children based on the "one-stop-shop" principle. Here, one can seek information about all types of social support, as well as receive individual guidance to resolve specific difficult situations.
Deputy Minister Yulia Abdrieva spoke about the requests that residents come with. Among those who have reached out are parents deprived of parental rights wishing to regain custody of their child, families who have found themselves in a socially dangerous situation due to alcohol problems, as well as relatives of participants in the special military operation who require urgent assistance or consultation. Families often come in where there are difficulties in understanding between children and parents. In such cases, staff psychologists and social educators begin working immediately. They conduct diagnostics, identify the root of the problems in relationships, and propose an individual plan to overcome the conflict. According to Abdrieva, specialists at the center develop a unique support program for each family. Work with the family continues until a solution is found for the problem they have addressed. The activities of the Family Multifunctional Centers are carried out within the framework of the national project "Family" and are aimed at strengthening the institution of family and preventing social distress.
