In Tatarstan, the provisions of the law "On Probation in the Russian Federation" are being successfully implemented.

      In Kazan, the Probation Center has started functioning at the Social Rehabilitation Center "Human Shelter." For this, the leadership of the NGO registered amendments to the organization's charter. The Probation Center is located on the premises of the shelter and represents a social dormitory with 10 places. In addition, the Probation Center will provide qualified assistance from psychologists, legal consultants, and social workers, which will effectively support those released from places of deprivation of liberty during their socialization phase. The premises of the probation center were inspected by Eldar Allahverdiyev, Deputy Head of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia for the Republic of Tatarstan, Olesya Shafigullina, Head of the Probation Department of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia for the Republic of Tatarstan, Ilnur Satdinov, Chairman of the Republican Public Monitoring Commission, and Adelina Mursalima, Head of the Information and Analytical Department of the Office of the Commissioner for Human Rights in the Republic of Tatarstan. Alexander Sukhanov, Director of the "Human Shelter," noted that the opening of the probation center was a logical continuation of their organization's activities. ("Human Shelter" has been providing assistance to people in difficult life situations since 2018. Among the beneficiaries are former convicts.) The establishment of probation centers is one of the most important issues in implementing the provisions of the law "On Probation in the Russian Federation." The rules for organizing the activities of probation centers are approved by the order of the Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation. It should be noted that last year, three probation centers were opened and are successfully operating in the Republic of Tatarstan: based on the charitable foundation "Yardam-help," the non-profit organization "Resocialization Fund" in Kazan, and the NGO "Ikhlas-sincerity" in Nizhnekamsk. In 2025, about 1,220 convicts and those released from serving their sentences turned to the institutions of the Federal Penitentiary Service for assistance under the law "On Probation in the Russian Federation."
